The Kyote Kid Difference

Made for the wild at heart

Most kids’ gear does one job. Ours does a few. Every Adventure Sack is a sleeping bag, a wearable poncho, and two designs in one, so it goes from the campfire to the soccer sidelines to the backyard sleepover without missing a beat.

It’s made by a family who actually camps, freezes on the bleachers, and tucks tired kids in after big days, which is why everything we make is built to be loved hard and handed down.

Built with care, made to last, and ready for wherever the trail leads next.

Our Mission

At Kyoté Kid Outfitters, we believe childhood belongs outside. Campfires and starry skies, cold soccer mornings, backyard sleepovers, and the kind of fun that ends with muddy boots, rosy cheeks, and sleepy smiles in the back seat on the way home.

We’re a family too, and we know the drill. Somebody’s always too cold, too hot, or too tangled up in a blanket to keep playing. So we set out to make gear that’s as cozy as it is clever, built to keep up with little explorers who never sit still and tough enough to be passed down from one adventurer to the next.

Our gear is made for the moments that matter most to the grown-ups in a kid’s life. For parents who want more time outdoors and fewer meltdowns. For grandparents who love spoiling the little ones with something they’ll actually use (and reach for again and again). For everyone who’s ever stood on the sidelines, sat by the fire, or tucked a tired kid in after a big day and thought, “This is the good stuff.”

Because the best adventures don’t need a mountain. Just a kid, a little dirt, and the people who love them most, right there cheering them on.

Who We Are

We’re Nicole and Jake McKeachnie, Utah parents of 4 kids who would rather be outside than just about anywhere else. Our weekends look like campfires in the mountains, early mornings on frosty soccer fields, and late nights in the backyard trying to convince everyone it’s time for bed.

Kyoté Kid Outfitters started the way most good ideas do: out of pure necessity. Our kids were always cold, always wrapped in blankets that fell off the second they stood up, and always asking to go inside right when the fun was getting good. So we [sketched out / sewed / built] something better. A sleeping bag they could zip up at night and wear as a poncho by day, with two designs so they’d actually be excited to put it on.

What started as a fix for our own family turned into something we wanted to share with yours. Every piece we make is tested by our toughest critics (our kids), designed for real adventures, and built to be handed down.

We can’t wait to see where yours take you.
